(1) The object of the company is a) the activity of a managing holding company vis-à-vis Stadtwerke Bochum Holding GmbH, Fernheizgesellschaft Bochum-Ehrenfeld GmbH and WasserWelten Bochum GmbH, b) the management of the shareholding in Bochum-Gelsenkirchener Straßenbahnen AG, c) the purchase, generation and storage of and trading in electricity, gas and heat, primarily from renewable energies, and d) the acquisition, management and, if applicable, the sale of shares in other energy supply companies, (2) The Company is entitled to all measures and transactions that are related to the aforementioned corporate purpose or promote it. You may use other companies to fulfill its tasks, participate in them or establish, acquire or lease such businesses and auxiliary and ancillary operations. (3) The Company is obliged to proceed in accordance with the economic principles within the meaning of § 109 GO NRW. In doing so, the company must be managed in such a way that the public purpose is fulfilled sustainably. The principles of the Public Corporate Governance Code of the City of Bochum are to be taken into account.
