Air Traffic Control - Trajectory Based Operations 2
"The Air Traffic Control - Trajectory Based Operations 2 (ATC-TBO 2) project proposes to validate four TBO SESAR Solutions for flights in the tactical execution phase for enroute and TMA operations, thus making a significant contribution to the realisation of the Digital European Sky vision in SESAR Phase D. The results are expected to contribute to capacity, operational efficiency, safety, environment and cost efficiency benefits. The SESAR Solutions, with the TRL levels at the start and end of the project, are: • Solution #EFA =: EFB-FMS ATC interactions (Initial = TRL 1/2; Target = TRL4). • Solution #DLE = AU/ATC trajectory synchronisation (CPDLC) En-Route (Initial = TRL4; Target = TRL6). • Solution #DLT = AU/ATC trajectory synchronization (CPDLC) TMA and Extended TMA (Initial = TRL1/2; Target = TRL4). • Solution #HAA = High Automated ATC (Initial = TRL2; Target = TRL4). The ATC-TBO 2 contribution to the SESAR Global TBO document (led by NETWORK-TBO 2) will be performed within the SPR-INTEROP/OSED tasks for each of the four ATC-TBO Solutions. The ATC-TBO 2 project consortium – with EUROCONTROL as the project coordinator, and with steering from the project management board, the joint NETWORK-TBO and ATC-TBO advisory board, and the SJU - brings together complementary air and ground resources from 14 air navigation service providers, 4 airspace users, 15 airborne and ground industry partners, 8 research and consulting establishments, and 1 university from 14 member states, Island, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK are represented.
