Developing Improved Service Propagation Lives in Arduous Cyclic Environments DISPLACE
| Abstract | The project will develop technology to increase the life and reliability of advanced lightweight Ni-based gas turbine discs. This will be achieved by developing a new understanding of the degradation of the material in the operating environment and developing solutions that will enable the components to be operated for longer. The innovation will provide a step change in useable component life, improve the engine efficiency and reduce emissions. The value of the programme is £1.67M. |
