Rolls Royce SILOET II Project 15 Advanced Turbine Technologies
| Abstract | The Project proposed targets the development and verification of a wide, but holistic set of Turbine technologies for improved component and sub-system competitiveness of future Turbines. Starting with the inclusion of a number of novel Turbine technologies in the TED (Turbine Endurance Demonstrator) engines to achieve the long term goal of improved fuel efficiency and specific fuel consumption prior to product insertion. This continues with the advancement of aerodynamic and cooling aspects, considering suitable means of rapid manufacturing methods, and lastly, looking into introducing new high temperature material capabilities for highly corrosive environments, a significant range of technologies required for the next generation of Core Turbines for Aero engines will be covered within this Project. |
