UK funding (£36,734): UK-South Korea Poverty Research Network Ukri1 Feb 2022 UK Research and Innovation, United Kingdom
Overview
Text
UK-South Korea Poverty Research Network
| Abstract | The aim of this work is to bring together researchers and policy makers interested in the issues of poverty and social exclusion in the UK and Korea. Both countries are wealthy, high income economies, but both face the challenges of social exclusion and vulnerability among certain groups to poverty and deprivation. This collaboration will enable early career researchers in each country to lead on an international project, develop joint research plans looking at the links and networks important for international research. They will be able to meet influential senior professors and policy makers, and learn from each others' approach to tackling poverty in each country. |
