eCommissioning Community to Support NHS GP Consortia

Abstract Sitekit, the largest single provider of NHS portal sites, is to lead a Technology Strategy Board funded project to develop a novel, web based healthcare commissioning service. This service, the ‘eCommissioning Community’, is designed to promote Clinical Commissioning best-practice and efficiency by offering a full suite of commissioning tools accessed as a seamless service over the web. The Technology Strategy Board has invested nearly £6M in a series of innovative projects as part of the ‘Collaboration Across Digital Industries’ phase two (CADI2) initiative. Sitekit, working with project partners i5Health Ltd and Abies Ltd, proposed an innovative solution that demonstrated the outstanding ability of Sitekit and its partners in the development of eHealth solutions. Recognition of this competency, together with Sitekit’s leading market position, is expected to deliver services that provide real benefits to healthcare professionals.
